Missing Link Ministries is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that links young adults, 18-25 years of age residing in underserved communities in west Chicago, Illinois, with trade training and technology certification programs. The nonprofit's mission is to be a beacon of opportunities for trade and technology skill training in underserved communities. We connect young adults with certification programs equipping them with skills vital to establishing a career path. Upon program completion, we prepare recipients for next steps which include seeking employment and moving beyond financial fragility with financial literacy workshops. Through community outreach efforts, we build relationships with recipients of supportive services to reinforce personal growth and community progress.
We have formed partnerships with organizations that are compassionate and committed to helping young adults residing in underserved communities thrive in the technology industry. The organizations provide a diverse group of professionals who bring a variety of skills and experiences to technology certification programs.
For some young adults, learning a trade is where their passion resides. Missing Link Ministries links recipients with companies which allow them to pursue certifications in fields such as HVAC, Culinary, Healthcare, Engineering, and many more. In some cases, a trainee receives hands on training equipping them with in-depth industry knowledge and opportunities for accelerated career paths.
